Description

The Monarch MM60 Carbon combines a carbon fibre frame with a compact manual fold, making it a practical powerchair for car journeys, days out and storage at home. The chair weighs 13kg without its removable lithium battery and supports users up to 21 stone.

Comfort and control
A padded 46cm-wide seat, breathable backrest and flip-up armrests provide support while making transfers easier. The intuitive joystick drives twin 200W motors for smooth steering at up to 4mph. Suspension helps on uneven surfaces, while electromagnetic braking, anti-tip wheels, puncture-proof tyres and a safety belt add reassurance. A manual freewheel mode allows the chair to be moved without power.

Battery and portability
The removable 10Ah lithium battery can be charged on or off the chair. Monarch's specification quotes up to 9 miles of range, while its FAQ gives around 6.2 miles under normal driving conditions; actual range will vary with user weight, terrain and conditions. The MM60 folds to 74 × 60 × 32cm, has a USB charging port and is listed by Monarch as suitable for air, coach and cruise travel. Always check the individual operator's battery and carriage rules before travelling.
